Gerald
M. Weiner, MD, FACP obtained his undergraduate degree from Tulane University
and earned his medicine degree with special honors, Alpha Omega Alpha, from
the University Of Miami School Of Medicine. He completed his internship
at Ochsner Foundation Hospital, and served on active duty as general medical
officer in the United States Naval Reserve. Dr. Weiner then completed his
residency at Ochsner Foundation Hospital and is Board Certified in Internal
Medicine. He has been in practice since 1977 and enjoys all aspects of internal
medicine, having particular interest in providing comprehensive preventative
healthcare with emphasis on preventative medicine.
Dr. Weiner, an active staff member of East Jefferson General Hospital,
served as Chief-of-Staff in 1985 and is active on multiple committees in
support of East Jefferson General Hospital. He is a Diplomat of the American
Board of Internal Medicine, a founding member of the Keystone Society at
East Jefferson General Hospital, a fellow of the American College of Physicians
and the Louisiana State Medical Society. Dr. Weiner is married with three
